The Simpsons – “Papa Don’t Leech”
The return of Lurleen Lumpkin/Beverly D’Angelo. She first appeared in the season three episode, “Colonel Homer”, which ranks in my top 5 Simpsons episodes of all time. Sixteen seasons later, she makes a return appearance. Not close to the original episode, but still pretty good. The opening scene with The Sopranos reference was well done. The songs were also pretty good. My favorite was Grampa’s late arrival. “Oh…I took three buses to get here.” The Dixie Chicks stuff seemed a little outdated, but the ladies seemed to be having a blast. Overall, a fun episode.
Rock of Love with Bret Michaels 2 – “Bret’s Rock of Love”
And the winner is…Ambre! I kinda picked it earlier in the week and Bret took the words out of my mouth. It made for a great story. Ambre was going to be eliminated week one, but was saved when one of the girls voluntarily left. It gave her a second chance and she ended up being his ‘rock of love’. The show was ridiculous most of the time, but very entertaining none-the-less. I think he made the right decision. Daisy was there for bitchiness and it was clear the whole episode that Ambre was going to win. The reunion next week should be very fun. It looks like Daisy and someone else get in a fight. Plus the crazy bitch Angelique is back!
